Description

TheNetwork and Systems Administrator is responsible for the secure and reliable day-to-day operation of the Spence Diamonds IT systems, network infrastructure, and Salesforce platform. They are responsible for the technical design, installation, and support of mission critical enterprise systems, including servers, local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), security systems, network segments, intranets, and other data communication systems. This role enables the business to grow and operate securely while maintaining high availability.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide secondary support for technical requests from internal customers
  • Continuously monitor, troubleshoot, and update systems to enable company growth
  • Support and upgrade infrastructure including internet, phone, and security systems
  • Develop and test robust disaster recovery plan, including on-site and off-site backups
  • Plan and coordinate technical aspects of new store openings
  • Plan and implement upgrade to a hybrid cloud network infrastructure
  • Ensure network and data security by developing access, monitoring, and control systems
  • Optimize network performance by monitoring, analyzing, and tuning
  • Write and maintain system documentation and specifications
  • Manage IT hardware assets, including maintenance, inventory, and upgrades
  • Proactively update technical skills, keeping informed on trends and best practices
  • Provide primary support and system administration for Salesforce
  • Proactively seek out, identify, and implement system changes in Salesforce
  • Communicate, provide training, and release system changes to Salesforce
  • Customize Salesforce dashboards, build reports, and provide report training
  • Monitor and provide support for Mulesoft integration Platform
  • Train and support junior staff as required

Requirements

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • 3 - 5 years’ experience as a Network Administrator
  • University degree in Computer Science or related
  • Applicable industry certifications for Salesforce, Mulesoft, Microsoft, and Cisco
  • Microsoft Server (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP)
  • Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 configuration and maintenance
  • Microsoft SQL replication, maintenance, and backups
  • Network services and architecture (DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, etc.)
  • Network equipment (SonicWall, Cisco, Meraki)
  • Virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware)
  • Salesforce Lightning administration
  • MuleSoft Anypoint Platform administration
  • Cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
